Festive Flower Arranging Day @ Varndean College Adult Education

The annual all day workshop saw Beryl, Grace, Lisa, Pat, Rachel, Rina, Sandy, Sophie and Veronica create a fabulous natural wreath in the morning and then a festive candle table centre in the afternoon. 

Most of them had not done flower arranging before and it was so special to see them 'grow' as the day progressed and their confidence increased. And walking home at the end of the day with not just one but two creations was of course very precious.

I have to say it gave me such a glow to welcome 89 year old Beryl with daughter Sandy and granddaughter Sophie to the day; how amazing to create such special family memories working together with glorious festive materials!

There are so many homes in Sussex who now have some fabulous Christmas pieces to show off to all and sundry...
