Carolynne Meer at Steyning Flower Club

I first came across Cally back in 2008 in Heene Gallery in Worthing where she used to run weekly flower arranging classes. Under her expert tuition I soon caught the floral bug and have continued to attend her various classes through the years, these days in her workshop in her back garden.

And during all that time, I had never seen her in action during a demonstration! It was therefore lovely to discover that my own flower club, Steyning & District Flower Club, had invited her along to a club night.

Cally's demonstration was entitled 'In the Shade' and she made several lovely creations not with plant material that likes the shade as I had originally thought, but using lamp shades of varying size as her containers! Such a novel idea...
