This is undoubtedly the most unusual wedding which I have ever had the pleasure of making floral arrangements for...

Knowing that the ski resort of Meribel in the French Alps had no florist in the village, there was no question of using fresh flowers for the bouquet, the buttonholes or the corsages, so silk flowers became the order of the day.

As the happy couple had decided that Seb would wear a deep red tie with his tuxedo, we opted for beautiful red silk roses as well as silk gypsophila finished with frosted velvety green leaves. A few Swarovski crystal stem sprays added a frosty sparkle too!

The wedding party of 24 guests stayed in a luxury catered chalet for one week, and for each evening meal I prepared themed table decorations; frosty crystals, snowy whites, passionate reds, sumptious jewel colours, woodland mechanics and so forth. In fact, these became quite a talking point not only amongst the wedding guests but also amongst the chalet staff...

The ceremony on a plateau close to Altiport was very special indeed; the blue sky acted as a fabulous backdrop for all the photos and once the airport realised there was a wedding going on (the first ever we were told), they kept sending up various planes and helicopters to add a Bond-themed touch to the photos!

And once the ceremony was over, the whole wedding party hit the slopes nearby, with the newly weds ably snowboarding down the hill to the total delight of fellow skiers! Seb, in fact, managed a few aerial acrobatics to boot. Awesome...

"The flowers for our March wedding looked beautiful. You listened to what we wanted and delivered more than we could have expected. Every detail was thought of for the nightly table decorations and had all our guests talking. Thank you so much!"
