Workshop with Tom de Houwer

It is always very thrilling to meet someone who is a master at his craft and I had waited a good couple of years (as had another 25 or so fellow designers!) to attend a workshop run by Belgian master florist Tom de Houwer.

He is very much of the 'less is more' school and he spent the day guiding us in how to make cubes of various sizes and then assembling them to create a very minimalistic modern design featuring gloriosa lilies and other dramatic flowers.

So incredibly satisfying to learn new skills all the time...
