Christmas at Mary and Tony's

Mary and Tony asked me to design two Christmas door wreaths for them; one for their main front door and also one for the internal porch area. I created the former with traditional blue spruce with orange and apple slices as well as cinnamon sticks, while the latter became a more contemporary everlasting cone creation.

They also wanted a large table centre to graze their dining table which on Christmas Day would seat fourteen people. As Mary has some beautiful burgundy table mats she always uses, I chose to create a traditional pillar candle design using blue spruce, deep red Naomi roses, dark red gerbera, lime green chrysanthemum, white Veronica and some exotic creamy Cymbidium orchids. I was keen to use orchids in my design as I knew that Mary and Tony got married in Thailand, and I thus wanted to celebrate this fact. I also added some burgundy baubles to ensure the colour scheme was spot on. And two further pillar candles, wrapped in cinnamon sticks, completed the design.

When Mary's sister, Emma, found out that I was creating a table centre for them, she secretly commissioned me to make up a matching hand tied bouquet to surprise them with.

And finally, as I dabble in mosaics, Mary ordered some heart and star shaped Christmas decorations to put on their twig tree in their entrance hall, and I duly obliged!

"Dearest Nina, We are really loving the flowers and so is everyone that comes in the house. Can't thank you enough for your amazing work and for coming all the way here to deliver."
