Georgia and Luke's Wedding

It was such a pleasure to be tasked with making Georgia and Luke's wedding day florally beautiful when they tied the knot at Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club.
I have to say that when I learnt of their colour palette (blues and peach coloured hues), I was so excited. What stunning colours to be working with!
I chose Rosa 'Toffee' and Rosa 'Cappuccino' to get the required peachy colour, adding some Dianthus 'Lege Marrone' too. And a delicate spray rose called Rosa 'Jana' really complemented the deeper tones. Eryngium 'Blue Dynamite' and Echinops 'Ritro' gave such a steely blue punch, while delicate Chamaelaucium softened the whole look. And don't you just LOVE the glorious Oxypetalum 'Coeruleum' - what a delicate pale blue...
Georgia's bridesmaids had smaller versions of her bouquet and the main roses were, colourwise, a perfect match with their dresses, while the groom's and groomsmen's buttonholes echoed the colour palette and complemented their beige tweed suits. Georgia and Luke's youngest son had a buttonhole featuring a spray rose instead to keep the proportions better.
And wrist corsages for mums and grandma was such a nice touch too.
I have to confess that I love dressing a wedding cake, especially a naked one, as it really enhances it, and this cake was no exception. Scrumptious!
What a joy to be involved in Georgia and Luke's special day. And I do hope they liked my Floranina heart too...
