Janie and John's Wedding
It was another lovely day weather-wise for another happy couple; this time for Janie and John who tied the knot at St Mary's House and Gardens on a sunny but blustery June afternoon.
Janie's dress was a beautiful dusky pink so for her bouquet we settled on peach Rosa 'Avalanche' to complement this. I also added with double white Eustoma and frilly apricot ones as well as white carnations and spray carnations and spray Chrysanthemum; also adding a lacy Gypsophila collar. As cornflowers were in season, they gave a wonderful splash of colour, while lacy trails completed this romantic summery bouquet.
And Janie also decided that she wanted to wear a delicate floral crown so I created one for her using the apricot Eustoma as well as Gypsophila and soft ruscus.
Janie's two daughters were her bridesmaids and their bouquets were a smaller version of her own, while the men were resplendent in buttonholes featuring white carnations with some Gypsophila and greenery.
Janie's mum had a pretty corsage too while the grandchildren looked pretty in mini corsages in a medley of flowers.
The wedding reception was held at Ashington Village Hall and I designed a large table centre for the happy couple as well as the customary Floranina floral heart. And finally, a floral top tier for their wedding cake to ensure flowers ruled during their special day!
My thanks go to my wonderful assistant Jan Crouch who helped me prepare so many of the designs.
Here's wishing the happy couple all the very best for the future as husband and wife...
