Zoe and Alastair's Wedding

On a beautifully hot and sunny July day, Zoe and Alastair tied the knot in the spectacular surroundings of Milwards House in Laughton, East Sussex.

The colour scheme was blue and white and Zoe's wedding bouquet consisted of Rosa 'Avalanche', white spray roses, Eryngium, lavender, cornflowers, double white Lisianthus, Chrysanthemum 'Stallion', rosemary and Eucalyptus 'Baby Blue'. Her two bridesmaids had a smaller version each and the buttonholes for the men matched the colours too.

The ceremony was held in a wooden beamed room and a signature Floranina heart-shaped arrangement featured here. Again in blue and white of course!

The wedding breakfast was held in a marquee in the grounds and the top table had three horizontal arrangements while the round tables featured a fishbowl each with flowers floating on water retaining beads.

Zoe's new mother-in-law was also the recipient of a pretty floral bag during the proceedings - this time in cream and peach.

I have to say that when Zoe burst into tears when I presented her with her bouquet, it really was a very special moment indeed. I love my job... And luckily, Zoe hadn't applied her make up yet; lol.

For the preparation of this summery wedding, I had the youngest assistant to date - my 11 week old granddaughter Freja. Cuddles with her were pretty ace in between all the arranging... ;-) And my thanks also go to daughter-in-law Debi who was on hand to assist.

And finally; Floranina wish to take this opportunity to wish the happy couple all the very, very best for the future - it was a great pleasure to be florally part of your big day.

Just want to say a huge thank you for all of the flower arrangements you did. The bouquets were beautiful and the mother of the groom said the flowers for her were her favourite colours :-) I miss my bouquet already lol. Was thinking maybe next year when the flowers are back in season if you could make up the bouquet for me again and I'll try and get someone to dry them and put them in a frame so I can hang it up.

Again a huge thank you for everything for the flowers. They were beautiful and smelt amazing :-) I even have a picture of Alastair smelling them :-)

Zoe Holmes xx
